Worship is the response of a soul made conscious of the Holy Presence. That consciousness — and the response it produces — is worship. Our posture at FLC is that worship is not an event; it is a way of life. Whenever we assemble, it is the collective expression of an individual pursuit.
Who We Are
Founded by Pastor Melvin Evans, Faith Learning Center is a Spirit-led teaching ministry in Robbins, Illinois, committed to one thing above all else: the pursuit of Christ — spiritually, intellectually, experientially, and intimately. We believe Hebrews 11:6 is not just a verse — it is our telos, the aim toward which every class, every conversation, and every relationship at FLC is directed.
We host weekly Biblical Awareness Sessions — onsite in Robbins and live online — with an active international community in Southern Africa via WhatsApp. In 2023 and 2024, FLC served for six months in South Africa, deepening a global partnership rooted in Kingdom purpose.
Our teaching is multi-cultural and non-denominational in practice. Though our immediate affiliation is Pentecostal, our approach to Scripture is epistemically wide: drawing from Hebrew and Greek textual analysis, multiple theological traditions, and the conviction that the Holy Spirit is not an alternative to rigorous study — He is its completion.
We are not a seminary. But we don't apologize for depth. We just refuse to let depth become a wall. At FLC, everyone has a seat at the table — and nobody leaves the same.
Mission
Our pursuit of Christ creates an environment where believers of every background can understand and learn to exercise faith in the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. We build services that equip the saints to exalt the Savior — which is the very foundation for reaching the sinner. Our most powerful resource? The indwelling love of God. Displayed constantly. No matter what.

To establish global connections using modern technology — promoting the illumination of Christ through Kingdom principles, with the aim of dismantling the influence of the world system in the lives of people wherever they are. From Robbins to Johannesburg. Online and onsite. One pursuit.
Our Theme
This is discipleship made plain. Not a program — a posture. 1 Corinthians 11:1 is our invitation: follow us as we follow Christ. Every lesson, every session, every interaction at FLC is shaped by a leader willing to be seen — and a community willing to imitate what is worth imitating.

Our Home
Faith Learning Center is physically located in Robbins, Illinois — a south suburb of Chicago with a rich community history. Our building is home to Sunday worship (11am CST) and Tuesday Biblical Awareness Sessions (7pm), and serves as the launching pad for our broader online and international ministry.
We are a registered nonprofit ministry serving the Robbins community and beyond. The building you see here is not just a structure — it is a post from which the light of Christ goes out.
